Due to the heavy rains and water left by India, a large part of Punjab was submerged in flood situation. Relief centers set up by Al-Maqsood Welfare Trust across the country with workers from across the country arrived in the affected areas and immediately started relief activities.
People were taken out from flooded areas to relief camps and delivery of food items such as flour, sugar, pulses etc. were started in different affected areas. Due to the lost of house items, people were provided tents, blankets, clothes and different pots. On the other hand, construction of destroyed houses was started and farmers were given seeds, fertilizers and cash. It took a whole month.
